LOL Modelers Gathering is an annual gathering of Hong Kong Model Makers who like to make models (especially Gunpla) in the scale of 1:144. (Official LOL Modelers blog: http://blog.yahoo.com/LOL.Modelers/)
(The reason why LOL is used is because this name is derived from the Chinese name "笑笑團" . "笑笑" is derived from the Cantonese pronunciation of 144 and "團" means a group in Chinese.)
